Cost and payment

  • Refunds:

    Refunds are allowed 7 days before the workshop date.

  • What's included:

    Photographic instruction. 

  • Non-photographer companions:

    You may bring a friend or spouse as long as they are not participating in the workshop. 

Requirements and preparation

  • Skill level:

    All skill levels are welcome, as I explain photography as an art, and my own workflows, which will be useful for those more seasoned photographers.

  • Physical condition:

    You should be in "reasonably good physical condition" and comfortable walking for several miles while carrying your equipment. 

  • Gear:

    A digital camera DSLR or Mirrorless with a zoom lens is preferred.  

  • Packing:

    Extra layers and water for the weather.  

What to expect during the workshop

  • Instruction: Workshops focus on instruction, such as creative compositions and camera settings, and may include post-processing and image reviews. 

  • Pace: Pace varies by day, but we will be stopping frequently when we find compositions.

  • Location access: Parking permits such as NW Forest Pass or WA Discovery pass, may be required.

  • Personalization: Smaller group sizes allow for more individual attention.
