Kafue National Park, Zambia

Established in 1950, Kafue is Zambia’s oldest national park. It is the second-largest wildlife sanctuary in the world, spanning 8,650 square miles of African wilderness. In explored an area which has been underwater since the 70’s due to a dam built for hydro power. With drought-like conditions over the past few years, there is a large amount of this man-made lake area that is exposed and dried up again. This has created these otherworldly-type landscapes that feature dead trees with sprawling limbs. These areas are home to fish eagles, water buffalo, lions, wild dogs, and many species of antelope. Here are some of my favorite images.
