Master Landscape Photography in the Heart of the American Southwest
Join our professional Utah desert photography workshop for an immersive experience capturing the most iconic geological formations in the United States. This field-based photography tour is designed for photographers looking to master golden hour composition, low-light desert landscapes, and advanced post-processing.
Featured Photography Locations:
Bryce Canyon National Park: Capture the world’s largest collection of hoodoos and orange sandstone amphitheaters from panoramic overlooks.
Grand Staircase–Escalante & Red Canyon: Explore rugged wilderness, slot canyons, and unique basalt-and-red-rock contrasts.
Kodachrome Basin State Park: Photograph multi-colored stone spires and high-contrast desert textures.
Workshop Highlights & Logistics:
Chasing the Light: We coordinate our shooting schedule around peak solar events, including sunrise at Bryce Point to ensure participants capture the vibrant "glow" unique to the Utah desert.
Boutique Accommodations: Participants will stay in two curated lodges,one featuring the historic charm of a high-desert town and a second situated on the park boundary for immediate access to natural oceans of rock.
Post-Processing & Critique: Midday sessions focus on a professional digital workflow. We cover Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop techniques specifically tailored for desert hues, dynamic range management, and portfolio development.
Educational Focus: Learn technical skills including bracketed exposures, focus stacking for geological sharpness

5-Day Utah Parks Photography Workshop Itinerary
Day 1 – Las Vegas → St George
Pickup in Las Vegas, I drive everyone to our first stop, St George. We will have a short introduction meeting, then sunset photography session at a nearby state park.
Day 2 – St George → Bryce Canyon
We drive to Bryce Canyon, with a sunset session in the park.
Day 3 – Bryce Canyon Sunrise
Sunrise photography session in Bryce Canyon, then editing session in the afternoon. Sunset photography session.
Day 4 – Bryce Canyon → Capitol Reef
Sunrise session, then drive to another hotel and park nearby. Editing session followed by a sunset session.
Day 5 – Travel back to Las Vegas
Travel back to Las Vegas, stopping at several photo spots along the way.
Tour ends at Las Vegas, schedule flights after 2 PM.

+ $1000 single supplement
50% due to secure a spot in the workshop.
Remainder due 3 months before tour.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel more than 6 months before the tour start date, we can refund 50% of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 2 months of departure are non-refundable.
Because our tours require advance bookings and limited group sizes, we strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance for added protection.

Most photography locations require short walks on established trails. Optional hikes to more remote viewpoints are available for those interested, but many iconic overlooks are easily accessible.
